CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Job:

The CFO will be expected to make a wide contribution, both strategically and operationally. The role will involve business and financial strategy plus planning, monitoring, management and reporting, including management of policies, systems, processes and personnel involved. He/She will also be engaged in raising capital and assessing investments including maintaining investor relations.  His/Her primary responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the full spectrum of financial operations and play a key role in the development of company’s financial infrastructure;
  • Establish mid and long range financial objectives to support aggressive growth and working closely with senior management team;
  • Develop financial strategies and define alternative plans to meet company goals and business objectives;
    Ensure compliance with all statutory and tax requirements and all pertinent laws and regulations in the territories of the operations of the group
  • Monitor economic outlook and market trends in order to put forward timely strategies to safeguard the group’s earning and investment;
  • Maintain an effective group structure and ensure tax optimisation programs.
  • Review the group’s working capital requirements and ensure efficient cash management
  • Represent the company externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, and the general public.
  • To prepare and present for the approval of the Board of Directors an annual budget, other budgets, financial plans, business plans, feasibility studies, investment memoranda and all other financial and business documents as may be required
  • Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems. 
  • Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.

The Person:

  • Qualified chartered accountant with 15 years of experience preferably from the Telco industry
  • Manage a financial team across a range of disciplines and will have the vision to be able to recognise and develop potential avenues for further profit improvement.
  • Experienced business leader with international exposure who can bring innovation and thought leadership to the business
  • Strong influencing skills and high levels of diplomacy.
    Will be an ambassador for the group
MANAGING DIRECTOR

The Job:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Managing Director is expected to manage and execute organizational operations by planning, develop and implement strategy for operational management to meet organizational performance within budgets and timescales. He/She will also monitor, measure and reports on day-to-day operational issues, opportunities and development plans and achievements to the group company. His/Her primary responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the full spectrum of business operations and play a key role in the development of company’s business infrastructure;
  • Manage every aspect of the business activities (local & international) to support aggressive growth and meet company goal and business objectives.
  • Driving best performance and continuous improvement among the management teams.

ACCOUNTANT

The Job:

  • Responsible to handle the entire spectrum of the company’s finance independently.
  • Provide business management input from a financial perspective.
  • Ability to maintain full set of accounts and ensure that all transactions are recorded & processed correctly.
  • Responsible for the overall financial, accounting and treasury functions including liaising with external auditors, bankers, tax agents and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures and reporting systems are strictly adhered to and improved upon.
  • Ensuring that there is constant independent check & balance, verification and proper division of responsibilities on high risk/sensitive areas.

The Person:

  • Professional qualification in ACCA, or CIMA.
  • At least 4 – 6 years’ working experience, preferably from Telco industry, with exposure in day-to-day accounting and book keeping.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVES (New Business Sales)

The Job:

  • Responsible for managing and growing mobile network accounts across the Middle East Region (UAE & GCC).
  • Seek and promote new business opportunities, manage contractual and commercial terms, promote margin expansion and position
    our clients to add value to their existing business lines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and provide a high degree of certainty for future revenue growth.
  • Be at the forefront of the tactical delivery of clients’ strategic business plans, meeting targets and objectives.
  • Carry out market research and analysis qualifying potential clients, partners and defining the competitive landscape.

ACCOUNT MANAGERS (Driving Existing Accounts)

The Job:

  • Managing and growing existing mobile network accounts across the Middle East Region (UAE & GCC).
  • Managing the contractual and commercial terms, promoting margin expansion and the position of our client as a quality provider of
    telecommunications services in line with the business plan.
  • Ability to develop customer relationships resulting in a high degree of certainty of future revenue growth, this being a key measure of success.
  • Be at the fore of the tactical delivery of the Client strategic business plan around meeting targets and objectives for customer; manage the performance and delivery to the customer; and ensure compliance with all company policies, which include:
    • Provide leadership and direction in the execution of sales strategies and tactics;
    • Lead the Sales team to drive revenue and increase market share;
    • Understand local markets and develop & implement an overall sales plan to achieve revenue and segment share targets within the assigned territories;

Business Responsibilities:

MARKETING MANAGER

The Job:

Brand Strategy and External Communications. This will involve:

  • Developing a marketing and external communications strategy for increasing target market penetrations, optimizing Qtelmedia
    brand value and market profile
  • Supporting key sales initiatives and account management through the development and execution of marketing activities and messages
  • Developing and enhancing sales & marketing tools, including but not limited to website, brochures, promotional DVDs, etc.
  • Analyzing critical and customer data to develop targeted marketing communications and campaigns
  • Establishing effective measurement processes to track success of marketing communications and campaigns
  • Working with PR & Events Manager to ensure an integrated approach to all marketing/PR and event activities
  • Monitoring marketing communications delivery standards, ensuring internal and external accounts are satisfied, costs are effectively controlled and regulatory requirements, if applicable, are met.

Marketing Strategy. This will involve:

  • Development and implementation of marketing and customer strategy; market and customer segmentation strategy to support customer proposition development as well as in the analysis of key customer data to ensure appropriate targets and success measures
  • Supporting delivery of current business strategy and priorities through the promotion and maintenance of a rigorous communications plan
  • Ensuring the production of timely, accurate and up-to-date brand & communications management information and appropriate
    competitor activity
  • Assisting as required in the development of projects, including regional and/or group-wide initiatives as required

The Person:

  • Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or IT with Cisco Certified (CCNA).
  • Min 7 - 10 years working experience in the mobile or wireless broadband industry with 3 - 5 years experience in Network Operations. IP skills in Linux and Windows is a MUST, and/or JAVA and those with hands-on experience in Cisco Networking/Inter-working has the added advantage
  • Hands-on experience in mobile network planning, design, implementation and optimization
  • Good knowledge of existing mobile or wireless technologies such as GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSPA and 802.x Wi-Fi.
  • Good working knowledge in Packet Core technologies and networks
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly with sufficient proficiency to conduct feature testing.
  • Must be excellent in English (oral and written) with good presentation skills and willing to travel

DATABASE APPLICATION DEVELOPER

The Job:

  • Responsible for developing, integrating technologies and architectures involving generic programming and provider-based data access
  • Work with vendor to develop tools, solutions to enhance the solutions.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance and administration of the applications
  • Play a leading role in handling new or ongoing enhancement of application development projects.
  • Ensure appropriate data security and access control for application and databases
  • Develop and update documentation and user manuals for any custom made software
  • Provide in-house training and develop supporting training materials for software deployment
  • Plan, lead, organize, manage and co-ordinate resources & activities within budget and the Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Design, develop, test and deploy web-based portal/workflow/collaboration application

The Person:

  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 5 - 7 years’ experience in enterprise software development with emphasis on databases and work flow.
  • Skilled in XML, Object Database, Java programming and Cache Data mining
  • Knowledge of the mobile operator environment, Object Oriented Programming and TCP/IP, SNMP or other network technology/ protocol
    will be an added advantage
  • Completed at least 3 medium sized projects that are cross departmental and possess strong programming and analytical skills.

SENIOR TECHNICAL WRITERS

The Job:

  • Responsible for writing documentation for software products, system procedures & processes.
  • Create and design user documentation that is user friendly and mapped to new features and user issues.
  • Work closely with engineers to gather information for documentation.
  • Interpret technical product information to develop written documentation targeted to user requirements.
  • Create / Develop graphics and flowcharts to enhance clarity / usability
  • Document all needed processes within the Department, produce technical documentation / training material / guide.

The Person:

  • Degree in IT/Computer Science or other relevant qualification with at least 5 – 7 years’ technical writing experience in an
    IT/ telecommunications related field.
  • Strong technical background with the aptitude to grasp and interpret technical contents.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Dependable, responsible and a good team player.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Project, Acrobat and Office Suite.

CODEC ENGINEERS

The Job:

  • To validate and optimize video delivery platform to end user devices.
  • To perform first level diagnostics on outages experienced by the end users.
  • To perform planned tests on Helix Producer and the streaming server
  • To establish good working relationship with various handset manufacturer.
  • To stay current with the latest software versions available for the appropriate handsets and update the database accordingly
  • To stay current with the latest streaming technology
  • To continuously perform R&D test on our platform.
  • To constantly perform network test to gauge delivery quality
  • To stage the requirements of new accounts and to perform:
    • Rack up of the full solution
    • Configuration of all the needed parameters onto the servers (with the assistance of system engineering)
    • To wire up the solution and test it end to end to ensure the solution works
    • To tear down the solution and repack it with the proper labeling and asset tags for shipment abroad
    • To document the whole solution with the technical writer
    • To be at site for unpacking and assembly ( project team)

The Person:

  • 5 years working experience in the mobile streaming industry, majoring in the delivery platform ( encoders, streaming servers, DRM

SYSTEM ENGINEERS

The Job:

  • Work with vendors on the installation of new servers, and reinstallation of existing servers.
  • Maintain high availability of servers by proactively and regularly monitoring server performance and capacity planning
  • Implement routine back-up/restoration, supervise network monitoring activities of existing network as well as maintain OS such as
    Win Server & Linux.
  • Conduct weekly (routine) system check of all servers.
  • Provide monthly report on systems performance / information.
  • Create, maintain and practice best practice escalation process
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing team in systems integration solutions for new or existing business opportunities.

The Person:

  • Degree in an IT related field with at least 2-5 years’ practical experience

CONTENT EDITORS

The Job:

  • Select, update and edit contents for specific channels.
  • Track on-going coverage of contents, visual feed and rundowns.
  • Ensure the content is compliant with viewer sensitivities and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet all deadlines on a daily basis

The Person:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ direct editing or sub-editing experience, preferably in a multi-channel TV environment / Production House.
  • Fresh graduates with a Diploma / Degree in Multimedia Graphic Production are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of any editing tools, preferably Adobe Premier / Final Cut Pro.
  • Creative, Resourceful, highly motivated team player with polished editing ability.
